Florida State Parks are celebrating their 75th anniversary in 2010 with a variety of events throughout the year. From their beginning in 1935 they have grown from eight to 160 parks scattered throughout Florida. In the last fiscal year (July, 2008-July, 2009) over 21.4 million visitors enjoyed one of the most economical vacations in the state.
What better way to fill the urge to get outdoors for little money, than a GO PLAY WEEKDAY for 75 cents entry fee on Monday through Thursday?
Our friends at VacationFunFlorida.com have the schedule for those 75-cents admission days/parks. |

Single? Want to go Sailing?
Bay Sailors is one fantastic outdoor-activity entertainment bargain. Membership entitles you to go sailing twice a month, all day, overnights, and they have longer trips too.
You must be single. If you don't know how to sail they will teach you. A full-year membership is $100, new members pay a $30 initiation fee, and prices are prorated through the year, so check the web site for details.
In the interests of full disclosure, we have been members for years. Best money we spend on outdoor activities each year. So get out on the water, feel the wind in your hair!
